Resistor Color Code:

0 - Black
1 - Brown
2 - Red
3 - Orange
4 - Yellow
5 - Green
6 - Blue
7 - Violet
8 - Gray
9 - White

To read a resistor:

  1. Band 1: First digit
  2. Band 2: Second digit
  3. Band 3: Number of following zeroes
  4. Tolerance: Gold=5%, Silver=10%, No band=20%

So a resistor of Yellow, Violet, Orange, Gold would be 47k ohms, tolerance of 5%.

Black AC Power: 120Vac, 220 Vac, 440 Vac: All phases are blacks, and the neutral (if present) is light blue.
Black DC Power: Both +24Vdc and DC common should be black.
Red Any AC control circuit, at any AC voltage

Blue

 Any DC control circuit, at any DC voltage
Orange Power provided by external source. Power/voltage may be present even when electrical service is disconnected.
